In this three-lesson activity, students in elementary cycle 2 or three will explore how technology impacts societies and how technology has changed over time.

Students will begin by reflecting on the technology they use every day. They will be introduced to Artificial Intelligence technology and learn about its various functions.

Students will then conduct research on a selected piece of older technology, using provided research documents or additional documents provided by the teacher. The culminating project allows students to choose between creating a multimedia presentation or a podcast to share their research.

The activity concludes with students making a collaborative class timeline that illustrates the evolution of technology, encouraging critical thinking about how technological innovations have transformed societies over time.
