A Social Sciences Radio Show!

In this activity, students work together to create a radio show (or podcast) exploring a specific aspect of Canadian society between 1820 and 1905. This engaging activity can be completed using any voice recording software. What a fantastic way to develop subject -specific knowledge alongside digital competency!

While the workbooks focus on Lower Canada around 1820 and Quebec around 1905, the concepts of a radio show can be adapted to study any society, time period, or territory. Through this project, students focus on competency 2 and will develop their ability to interpret social change and its impact on different regions.
