Check out this activity by RECITUS and Commission scolaire de l’Énergie. It focuses on comparing the Mi’kmaq and Inuit Nations around 1980 and includes a quiz that focuses on document analysis. This quiz can be used for any document; it is not specific for this activity.

The accompanying activity slide deck demonstrates how to use a think-aloud strategy to guide students through the process of establishing facts from documents. This helps them develop their knowledge of the intellectual operations alongside literacy skills.
