In this activity, students will learn more about Indigenous Language Families in Quebec and the 11 Indigenous Nations with communities in Quebec. They will research which language(s) are spoken by members of each Nation, which language family members of the Nation self-identify with, and make connections between the historical periods and the present day.

Note that Wendat and Kanien:keha’ka Nations in Quebec are part of the Iroquoian language family.
