In this short 1-2 period activity, you will try to define characteristics of rural, suburban or urban areas using documents. Then, you will look for those characteristics in a photo analysis activity. Finally, in small groups, you will pick a community in Quebec to research. You will try to determine if the community is in a rural, suburban or urban area and create a digital collage or presentation justify your opinion. This activity is designed to activate the ‘characterize a territory’ intellectual operation.
